Mount Baldy
Mount Baldy is our first #PeakSpotlight of this year! Every third week, we'll be spotlighting some sort of hike/outdoors tip.
HIKE NAME: Mount Baldy
PEAK: Mount San Antonio, a.k.a. Mount Baldy
LOCATION: San Gabriel Mountains
LENGTH: 11.3 mi
ELEVATION GAIN: 3,900 ft
DIFFICULTY: 4.5/5
DESCRIPTION: If you’ve ever looked north of campus on a day that the smog isn’t too thick, you’ve seen Mt. Baldy. It’s the tallest mountain in Los Angeles, clocking in at 10,064 ft, and one of the most popular hiking destinations in the City. While the hike to the summit can be steep, rocky, and hot, the stunning view of DTLA from the summit are always worth the trek.
