Angel's Point w/ Abby Fifer Mandell {Design Thinking}

Start your Friday morning right and join Abby Fifer-Mandell, Executive Director of the Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab, for a short but scenic hike to Angel’s Point! This 3-mile hike loops through the northern section of Elysian Park, a natural oasis in the middle of the city. Come for the wicked cool professor & gorgeous views of downtown LA, stay for the public art installations and advice on how to apply design thinking to your love life.

DIFFICULTY: 2/5. This hike is short but includes a brief steep section near the end.

SCENERY: Post-rain greenery, public art, city views for days

FUN FACT: There may or may not be a secret swing waiting for us at the top of Angel’s Point!

Abby Fifer-Mandell is the Executive Director of USC Marshall’s Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab. She teaches undergraduate and graduate versions of Social Innovation Design Lab, a course in which interdisciplinary teams of students use design thinking to create product solutions to challenges faced by older adults. Her areas of expertise include human-centered design, social impact, and excellent life advice.
