TRIP DESCRIPTION:
Come join your favorite Peaks People and hike to the highest point in LA! This hike is very challenging, but your hard work will pay off with some stunning views of the San Gabriel Mountains. One of SoCal’s “Six Pack of Peaks,” Mt. Baldy (formally Mt. San Antonio) is known for its tree-less rock face and provides a beautiful backdrop for DTLA. We will be starting at Manker Campground, ascending up the Devil’s Backbone trail, and descending down the Baldy Bowl/Ski Hut trail after we summit to complete an 11-mile loop. Get ready for a long day of adventure, good vibes, and even better people!
PACKING LIST:
