Join Peaks and Professor Jessica Marglin for a relaxing and mild hike through the Elysian Park Loop Trail! We will be joined by her two younger daughters so if you’re looking for a shady peaceful morning, this is the hike for you. The entire trip is just 2.4 miles and features scenes of beautiful Downtown Los Angeles.
PROFESSOR: Jessica Marglin
DEPARTMENT: Religion History & Law
RATE MY PROFESSOR: "I was a total screw-up in this class, which was the last thing on my mind, and yet I can still recognize that she is in the top 10 percent of professors. We don't deserve this woman."
Professor Marglin is a scholar of religion, law and history at USC. Her current research is centered on the history of Jews and Jewish-Muslim relations in modern North Africa and the Mediterranean. In the classroom, Marglin brings an incredible energy - even when discussing 45 page readings on global legal theory. She is a caring, passionate, and spunky person. I promise that time spent with her is well spent!
PEAK: Elysian Park West Loop Trail
DIFFICULTY: 2/5
SCENERY: This short route offers good shade and great views of the valley and downtown Los Angeles. You might not be in it for the Golden State Freeway views, but on clear days you can see the San Gabriel Mountains!
