Join Dean Miller and her husband for a short 3-4 mile loop around Temescal Canyon! This scenic trail is located near the Pacific Palisades with 875 ft of elevation gain and beautiful ocean views. We’ll take a short snack break at Skull Rock and discuss the Big Bang Theory, Black Holes, and your best flat earth theories!

PROFESSOR: Dean Amber Miller

DEPARTMENT: Physics and Astronomy

Dean Miller is the is a cosmologist who is working with a team to build and deploy a new telescope in the Atacama Desert in Chile to study the universe when it was much less than a second old. Her PhD dissertation was also the first to provide evidence that the geometry of the universe was flat!
