Join Dr. Andrew Simpson on an exciting adventure through the San Gabriel mountains! We’ll be hiking 7 miles down a river from Switzer Falls to JPL. When I say down a river, I mean it! Much of the trail requires wading and scrambling if the water is high (which is likely given the recent rains). The hike will take us through a serene and less travelled part of Angeles forest, and has been a favorite of all who have attended in previous years.
PLEASE NOTE: You will get wet on this hike. Repeatedly. We’ll encounter 20+ river crossings, many of which will require being knee-deep in water. Come prepared to walk through the river and keep on walking.
PACKING LIST:
Water
Lunch
Waivers
Shoes that will get wet
Dry shoes to stash in the car
