Sign up for this chill Sunday morning 2.5-mile, 400 ft elevation gain hike in Griffith Park with Annenberg Professor Martin Kaplan! We’ll get to explore an abandoned zoo and talk with Professor Kaplan about his unique experiences working as Vice President Mondale’s speechwriter, a Disney producer and screenwriter, and now director of the Norman Lear Center.

PROFESSOR: Martin Kaplan

DEPARTMENT: Communication and Journalism

Martin Kaplan is the director of the Norman Lear Center, a research center that focuses on the effects of entertainment on public health, commerce, and society overall. He has a crazy interesting background— serving as a chief speechwriter under President Carter’s administration, a producer at Walt Disney Studios, then the associate dean of USC Annenberg!
