Join us for a 9.5 mile hike (1250ft elevation gain) out-and-back in the San Gabriel Mountains with Professor Ronald Osborn. We will traverse several stream crossings, go through scrub bush, and end at a mysterious bridge. This is a perfect hike to conclude your semester on, enjoy breathtaking river views, and hear about the many places and wonderful work Professor Osborn has done around the world.
NOTE: Prepare to potentially get wet while hiking! We will cross the San Gabriel River several times throughout the hike and depending on the water level, we can get wet.

PROFESSOR: Ronald Osborn

Professor Osborn grew up in Thailand, Taiwan, and Zimbabwe. He has worked with humanitarian organizations in Kosovo, Guinea, and Sudan; hiked between the Pyrenees mountains of France and Spain; participated in an ultimate Frisbee "tournament for peace" in North Korea, and much more. He acquired his PhD in the Political Science and International Relations at USC and a couple years later came back to teach in the department. Ask him about the many places he has been around the world!
