When it comes to activities (besides climbing), the sky’s the limit—possible moves include watching Bryan juggle, body surfing, scavenging for some sick shells, throwing frisbees, playing Go Fish, and making new friends.

Join Professor Ashley Uyeshiro Simon on a lovely Sunday morning hike in Malibu at Mugu Peak Trail! While this hike is only 3 miles, be prepared for a steep climb with lots of elevation gain (1,253 ft). As a reward, we will enjoy some of the best ocean and mountain views in the area.

We will traverse several stream crossings, go through scrub bush, and end at a mysterious bridge. This is a perfect hike to conclude your semester on, enjoy breathtaking river views, and hear about the many places and wonderful work Professor Osborn has done around the world.

Join us for a 3.6 mile (833ft elevation gain) hike to Glendale Peak in Griffith Park on Saturday, Feb 17! We’ll be surrounded by views of LA and the San Gabriel Mountains. We’ll also be joined by Popular Music and Studio Guitar Professor, Tim Kobza, in Peaks’s first (and most certainly not last) hike with a contemporary music professor!

Come join us on this relaxing Sunday morning 3.8 mile (650 ft elevation gain) hike! We’ll get to chat with one of the most fun and caring professors at USC, and then grab a bite to eat on the way back.

This hike will take us on a 2 mile loop to a great spot for some light cave climbing and exploration, with a great view from the top of this small peak! Come join The Society of Physics Students (SPS) and Professor Vahe Peroomian to explore both the land and the sky in Joshua Tree!! We will start our morning by driving to the park, having some lunch, and doing a 4 mile, 1000ft elevation gain hike up Ryan Mountain to see beautiful landscape views. After cooking some dinner, we’ll find a good place to set up some telescopes and look at the stars!! We’ll be back at USC late Saturday night.
