Come join Peaks and Professors on a hike through the lesser-traveled side of Griffith Park! Mount Bell is a 6.5-mile out-and-back trail that offers stunning views of Los Angeles while also providing breathtaking exposure to LA’s natural greenery. This moderately-difficult hike is on the longer side, so come prepared with water and some snacks! No better way to spend your Sunday than exploring nature right in USC’s backyard!

Curious to learn more about what sits in the Library for International and Public Affairs? Andy Rutowski is your guy! Andy is currently the acting head of the LIPA, with a wealth of knowledge on the resources there. Specifically, Andy’s subject area expertise is in the spatial sciences, social sciences data, urban planning, and so much more! Andy has also taught electives in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, particularly relating to data visualization.

FUN FACT: The trail begins near the infamous Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round! Built in 1926, this iconic merry-go-round features 68 elaborately decorated horses & an organ!
