PROFESSOR: Miki Turner

DEPARTMENT: Journalism

RATE MY PROFESSOR: "Miki is an amazing professor, brings in some really great speakers, and will challenge you creatively. If you put in the effort to get the most you can out of the assignments, you'll be surprised by how your work and creative vision will develop.”

An award-winning journalist, Miki Turner utilizes her experience in multiple disciplines to teach courses in photojournalism, sports commentary, digital storytelling and sports production. She has worked at ESPN, the NFL Network, MSNBC, AOL, BET and several newspapers, and is also the author of two books. When she is not capturing pictures or leading the next generation of journalists, Turner is advocating on behalf of underrepresented groups through various diversity and inclusion efforts.
