Come meet wildlife biologist Miguel Ordeñana in one of his workspaces, Griffith Park! We will start the day off with his personal recounting of the story behind P-22, the infamous LA mountain lion. We'll carry on with a moderate hike an stop to see one of the camera traps used in capturing mammal movement around Griffith Park. This hike entails a trek up Skyline Trail to loop back down Oak Canyon Trail (totaling ~5 miles) while learning about Miguel's career and how he got where he is today. Miguel has worked on many projects that helped conserve animals ranging from bats, squirrels, and even jaguars in Nicaragua. He is currently working at the Natural History Museum in LA where he initiates many community events and has curated the P-22 exhibit.
