Come spend a chill day on the trail with Professor Thomas Habinek, longtime chair of the Classics department at USC. Recognize him from on stage or on the big screen? Professor Habinek has opened USC commencement by reading the traditional charge in Latin and Greek for several years. Join us as we experience the Hollywood sign from a new angle!

Professor Habinek, a 15 year USC department chair, has published numerous works in the realm of classical Latin and Greek. He is currently studying interrelated concepts of personhood and authorship in the Roman world and on a jointly-authored book on the relationship between physics and aesthetics from antiquity through the nineteenth century.
