Join us for a scenic Friday hike with Russian language professor Evgeny Dengub! The hike is a 6.0-mile out-and-back trail near Lytle Creek, California. It is generally considered a challenging route, with narrow trails leading to rewarding views. You can expect tranquil nature and a waterfall at the end of this route, with great conversations along the way. Enjoy an escape from LA only an hour and a half away!

A native speaker of Russian, Evgeny Dengub holds a doctorate from Bryn Mawr College (30 minutes from where Patrick grew up in Pennsylvania!) in Second Language Acquisition in Russian.
He is also the co-author of three Russian language textbooks, and the co-founder of TeachRussian.org which now includes over a hundred published activities, lesson plans, tests, and other materials for Russian teachers across the globe.
Currently, Evgeny is the Director of the Center for Languages and Cultures, the Director of the Center for Languages and Cultures and a Professor of Russian, and Director of the Basic Russian Program.
