Once we arrive at the trailhead, we’ll walk around 4 miles with a moderate 1,190 ft elevation gain. We are incredibly lucky to have both Professor Dr. Cara Esposito and the new Sol Dean Dr. Dana Goldman join us on this beautiful hike. Get ready for a day filled with meaningful conversation about how to live a more fulfilling life from these two incredibly wise and distinguished humans!

Professor Esposito is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Sol Price School of Public Policy where she teaches non-profit policy and theories of governance. In the past, she has worked as a Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney for 9 years, with special emphasis in Juvenile Prosecutions. Her passion for social impact has led her to become the executive director of the Leonetti/O’Connell Family Foundation, which funds innovative projects and initiatives that benefit Los Angeles County and improve the wellbeing of its communities. Currently, Cara teaches PPD 371, a class explaining the non profit sector in depth, and has inspired many students to pursue a path of social impact.
Dana Goldman is dean of the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and distinguished professor of pharmacy, public policy, and economics. He got a PhD Economics from Stanford University and went on to work in a number of renowned think tanks such as the Brookings Institution, the National Bureau for Economic Research, and the RAND corporation. His research and opinion pieces have appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Stat, Forbes, Business Week, U.S. News & World Report, The Economist, CNN, NPR, and other media. His fields of expertise include Health economics and finance, health policy, the role of prevention in healthcare, healthcare reform, pharmaceutical regulation and innovation, precision medicine, and value of delayed aging - so feel free to ask him about any of those topics!
