PROFESSOR: Julie Posselt

DEPARTMENT: Education; Associate Dean of the USC Graduate School

Professor Posselt has been on the faculty at USC since 2016. She’s been an outdoorsy type all her life, but really got into hiking & peak bagging while living in Colorado from 2003-2007. She earned her PhD from the University of Michigan and did a postdoctoral fellowship with the National Academy of Education on graduate student mental health. She’s the mother of one excellent teenager, the author of two excellent books, and the co-editor of a third (also excellent). Ask her anything about graduate school (especially graduate admissions); diversity, equity, and inclusion; or the best food in LA to enjoy during or after a hike.

PEAK: Josephine Peak

DIFFICULTY: 4/5

SCENERY: Wide views of the Los Angeles Basin and San Gabriel Mountains!
