Into shady canyons and babbling creeks? What about Douglas firs and Jeffrey pines? Well you're in for a treat. Come hike the Angeles National Forest with film professor, Mary Posatko, as we traverse down a canyon along Burkhart trail to reach Cooper Canyon Falls and back up parts of the infamous Pacific Crest Trail for a pit stop at the Cooper Canyon campground!

Scenery: We'll be traversing shaded canyons under tree canopies, across bouldered landscapes, and over woodsy lands galore.
Fun Fact: Our hike is conveniently located near the only private property along the Angeles Crest Highway and favorite biker roadhouse - Newcomb's Ranch!

Paragraph description: Professor Posatko received her BA in History at Brown University and proceeded to volunteer for Americorps, serving Skid Row's largest homeless shelter. She then received her MFA from USC's School of Cinematic Arts and has since co directed feature documentary "All Fall Down", produced critically acclaimed documentary "Ain't in It for My Health: A Film about Levon Helm", and produced many short films including Student Academy Award and BAFTA winning "Pitstop".
