Sign up for this 4.4 mile, 1300 ft elevation gain hike in the Angeles National Forest with Anthropology Professor Tok Thompson! We’ll get to see some beautiful views of LA, cool rocks, and maybe a waterfall! Along the way, Professor Thompson may share with us some interesting folklore stories he’s learned from his research.

Tok Thompson grew up in rural Alaska, attended Harvard, then did his graduate studies in Folklore and Anthropology at UC Berkeley! He has recently published two books: Posthuman Folklore (2019) and The Truth of Myth (2020). He has also taught Folklore in universities across the world— Northern Ireland, Iceland, and Ethiopia.
