Come fight the Sunday Scaries with a wonderful hike down to a waterfall oasis! Joining us will be legendary Peaks Professor Larry Harris and his two dogs (legendary Peaks Pups). The Switzer Falls hike is a total of 3.7 miles with 700ft of elevation gain.

Join us for a trip to the amazing Verdugo Mountains in Glendale with avid hiker and PhD student Rachel Newman! We will explore the scenic Beaudry Loop and soak up the panoramic views of Los Angeles. This 5.5 mile loop trail will be a fantastic way to finish your weekend!

Come along for this lovely out-and-back hike near Pasadena with IR professor Iva Bozovic! This trail features beautiful creeks, waterfalls, and views from the San Gabriels. NOTE: This is a DPE x PEAKS event. You need to be a member of DPE to attend this hike.

If so, then join us on this 5.5 mile hike in Angeles National Forest with mushroom and plant club MYCO and wilderness medicine professor/ outdoors extraordinaire Dr. Michael Mulick! Dr. Mulick will be educating us on some of the plants we see along the way. Get your Bear Grylls on and get ready for a fun foraging trip!

Looking for something to do the day after we beat the Bruins?? Come hike Mt. Baldy with us!! WARNING: This is a very difficult hike!! Please do not sign up unless you are prepared for a 14-mile, 4300ft elevation gain hike. It will potentially be pretty cold as well. But we will see some spectacular views at every step!!

Come join Peaks and Professors on a hike through the lesser-traveled side of Griffith Park! Mount Bell is a 6.5-mile out-and-back trail that offers stunning views of Los Angeles while also providing breathtaking exposure to LA’s natural greenery. This moderately-difficult hike is on the longer side, so come prepared with water and some snacks! No better way to spend your Sunday than exploring nature right in USC’s backyard!

Join us on this adventure through the Santa Monica Mountains! We’ll embark on a short hike to the 50ft Escondido Falls, where Dr. Goldman will lead a short Yoga and meditation session. After hanging out for a bit at the base of the falls, we’ll head back to campus.

Calling all Black Pre-Health students! Join us for a 2.8 mile hike through the mountains with Black health professionals and students from a wide range of specialties. In this special crossover hike between Peaks and Professors and African Americans in Health, we’ll be making connections with Doctors of Medicine and Physical Therapy, PAs, Medical and Dental students and while taking in views of the San Gabriel River . Don’t miss out on this chance to get out into nature and meet tons of amazing mentors at the same time!

It’s TIME… for the F-I-F-T-H semesterly installation of the Point Dume climbing trip! Join psychology professor Bryan Shilowich and a ~surprise guest~ as we climb the cliff and enjoy a Sunday at the beach. Possible activities (besides killing it on the rocks) include watching Bryan juggle, playing Spikeball, body surfing, throwing frisbees, playing the guitar, and cheering each other on.
